I second Khun JBC krub on a dedicated amp for music listening.
IMHO, the more module in the same box, the more likely interference as they share the same power source and the lower the sound quality at the same price point. Of course, there are some gear with separate power supply but I don't think this will apply to the mainstream gear that we talk about here.
I would say pre+power is even better but int amp is a good compromise to help save on the cost on interconnecting cable.
Mind you, NAD is more widely acceptable for music listening than H/K though and its int amp should retain better value on the used market, IMHO.
