Unlike regular CDs, DualDiscs are double-sided. One side contains standard CD audio; the other features DVD content, often including the album in higher-fidelity stereo or a 5.1-channel surround sound mix; lyrics, photos, and computer files; music videos, interviews, and documentaries; and anything else one might find on a regular DVD. Though DualDiscs are slightly thicker than ordinary discs, the DVD side should play in all DVD players, and the CD side should play in all CD players.

UNCHAINED MELODIES: You can't beat the songs of the '50s and no one did this week. Barry Manilow's "The Greatest Songs of the Fifties" (Arista) enters The Billboard 200 at No. 1, giving the veteran artist the second chart-topping album of his career. Manilow's only other No. 1 album was "Barry Manilow/Live," which spent one week in pole position back in July 1977.
Manilow's collection of hits from 50 years ago is the highest-debuting album of his career, besting the No. 3 opening of "Ultimate Manilow" in February 2002. "The Greatest Hits of the Fifties" marks Manilow's first appearance on this chart in one year and two months, when "Manilow Scores: Songs From Copacabana and Harmony" peaked at No. 47.
This latest CD is the 31st Manilow album to chart. His span of hit albums now stretches over 31 years and three months, counting back to the Nov. 23, 1974 debut of "Barry Manilow II."

Highlighted by a guest appearance from Phyllis McGuire of the McGuire Sisters on the medley of 1954 hits, "Teach Me Tonight/Sincerely," THE GREATEST SONGS OF THE FIFTIES is a veritable jukebox of favorites from his remake of the Four Lads "Moments To Remember" (1955) and the Everly Brothers "All I Have To Do Is Dream" (1958), to Bobby Darins "Beyond The Sea" (1959) but to hear them collected on one album is a dream come true. The project (just like the era it emulates) cuts across musical genres, from The Four Aces,"Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" (1955), to Frankie Avalons "Venus", to Johnny Mathis "It's Not For Me To Say" (1957), to Tommy Edwards "Its All In The Game" (1958), and Dinah Washingtons signature "What A Diff'rence A Day Made" (1959). Some of Americas greatest artists are evoked on songs that are forever associated with them, for example, Tony Bennett on "Rags To Riches" (1953) and the Four Aces on the motion picture title tune hit "Love Is A Many!! Splendored Thing" (1955). More: the spirit of Frank Sinatra imbues "Young At Heart"(1954) and Elvis Presley is remembered with "Are You Lonesome Tonight." "Unchained Melody" (1955) remains one of the most-recorded songs in contemporary popular music.

ผิดกับอีกหนึ่งหนุ่มเก่งจากอิตาลีที่ความไม่สมบูรณ์ทางกายไม่ใช่อุปสรรคแห่งการร้องเพลงเป็น "อันเดรีย โบเชลลี" ส่งความยอดเยี่ยมในน้ำเสียงเทเนอร์โอเปรามากับอัลบั้ม Amore เปิดตัวได้ดีที่สุดเท่าที่เคยทำมาที่อันดับสามกับยอด 1.13 แสนแผ่น งานนี้ได้ร้องเพลงร่วมกับ คริสตินา อากิเรลา และ สตีวีย์ วันเดอร์ ด้วย
กลับมาที่อันดับสองต้องยกนิ้วให้เหมือนกันเมื่อ "แมรี เจ. ไบลจ์" ขึ้นมาอีกครั้งจนได้กับยอดขายอัลบั้ม The Breakthrough ไป 1.23 แสนแผ่น และคู่แข่งที่เคยสลับตำแหน่งแชมป์กันอย่างหนุ่มออสการ์ "เจมี ฟ็อกซ์" ยังอยู่ไม่ห่างในอันดับสี่กับยอดขาย Unpredictable ที่ 9.5 หมื่นแผ่น
งานเปิดตัวใหม่อีกรายเป็นสาวอาร์แอนด์บี "ฮีเธอร์ เฮดลีย์" ส่งอัลบั้ม In My Mind ขายไปราว 9.5 หมื่นแผ่น ซึ่งรวมยอดจริงๆ แล้วพ่ายให้กับงานของฟ็อกซ์แค่สองสามร้อยแผ่นเท่านั้น โดยปี 2002 เฮดลีย์เคยพางาน This Is Who I Am เข้าชิงแกรมมีเหมือนกัน แต่สำหรับแต้มในชาร์ตแล้ว เธอทำได้สูงสุดแค่เพียงอันดับ 38
ส่วน "เอ็มมิเน็ม" ที่เพิ่งเข้าชิงแกรมมีมาหมาดๆ ส่ง Curtain Call: The Hits ตามมาที่อันดับเจ็ดด้วยยอด 7.8 หมื่นแผ่น และสาวอเมริกันไอดอล "แครีย์ อันเดอร์วูด" ที่เพิ่งคว้าแกรมมีมาสองตัวขาย Some Hearts ได้ไป 7.4 หมื่นแผ่น
และคนที่ดูจะมีความสุขมากกว่าเพื่อนเป็นทหารหนุ่มเสียงดี "เจมส์ บลันต์" ส่ง Back to Bedlam กลับมาเข้าชาร์ตอีกครั้งที่อันดับเก้าด้วยยอด 7.1 หมื่นแผ่น ขึ้นมาจากเดิมกว่า 23,000 แผ่น ซึ่งอาจเป็นอานิสงส์จากการไปออก Saturday Night Live เมื่อช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ก่อนก็เป็นได้
ปิดท้ายที่งานของ Train แปะอัลบั้ม For Me, It's You อยู่ที่อันดับสิบด้วยการขายไป 6.2 หมื่นแผ่น ถือว่าน้อยอยู่เหมือนกันเพราะอัลบั้ม My Private Nation ปี 2003 เปิดตัวได้อันดับหกด้วยยอด 8.7 หมื่นแผ่น
ด้านคนอกหักที่อยู่บนชาร์ตสูงสุดแค่พักเดียวเริ่มที่ "จอช เทอร์เนอร์" กับ Your Man ลงไปเก้าขั้นแปะอยู่อันดับ 11 ตามมากับงานรวมฮิต Now #1s ไม่ฮิตเหมือนชื่อเพราะร่วงมาไกลที่อันดับ 12 พร้อมอัลบั้ม Lights and Sounds ของ Yellowcard หล่นฮวบ 21 ขั้นไปอยู่อันดับ 26 และร็อก P.O.D. ส่ง Testify กระเด็นไปไกลลิ่ว 31 ขั้นจอดที่อันดับ 40
