Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to carry it from Singapore or HK. But there is one catch, can Sony Thailand provide COMPETENT repair service when it breaks down

Sure not.I ever bought Sony PJ about 10 ago before CRT pj and it was damaged by unknown reason so I sent to repair,you know what he said I must sent by myself by the airplane,the reason was the professional product ,it wasn't his job(I ain't live in BKK).So I sent it to the company,it took me 3 months and the problem was the lamp time was run out.When it was sent back,it was still malfunction and I paid 24000 bhts for a new lamp for free.All I said was many company include Sony,the service was sucked.The good service that I was experience:Mahajak,Pioneer.
