I usually don't suggest any improvement on home theater system due to various limitation on the design.
To me, a degree of improvement per Baht is likely to be much smaller than building a new system.
So, the hometheater system, to me, is the beginning and the end to itself if you decide to buy one.
If it's me, the best way to go is thinking about a separate music system.
You could opt for an entry level high end brand set from Conice (NAD and PSB)
But, all in all, you need to listen by yourself whether you
it or not. The NAD agent are very familiar with newbie so I think that's a good place to start.
