Product Description
From the Manufacturer
Delivering network capability and audiophile sound, the Marantz SR6006 7.1 Home Theater Receiver is an ideal media center for any home theater system. With Marantz's classic "star and circle" front display, the receiver offers both style and comprehensive features, including an Ethernet port, seven HDMI inputs, and playback of the latest hi-definition audio formats. Three audio zones, networking, and support for Bluetooth devices make the SR6006 a powerful and versatile solution for all your home theater and music listening needs.

AirPlay allows for wireless music streaming from any room in your home.
Networking Capability for Music Streaming
Built-in networking functionality makes the SR6006 an ideal media center. The Ethernet port lets you stream audio from online music services, such as Pandora, Rhapsody, and Napster, as well as from your home network. Additionally, built-in AirPlay allows you to stream music wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.

You can also access Internet radio stations with the built-in v-Tuner. The built-in HD radio delivers FM that sounds almost as good as CD, and AM that often outperforms conventional FM.

As an added convenience, the SR6006's three audio zones let you listen to music in two separate rooms while playing a movie in another while a second zone of video allows simultaneous viewing of different TV programs and movies.

Sleek design adds sophistication to any room decor. View larger.Stylish Design Adds Sophistication to Any Room
Offering a stylish front panel with star and circle porthole display, the SR6006 offers a sleek, bold look. The large volume and input selector knobs add symmetry to the panel, while the simple buttons create a clean and uncluttered appearance.

HDMI Inputs Allow Multiple Digital Connections
The SR6006 features seven HDMI inputs that provide uncompressed picture and audio with digital clarity. Support for Deep Color and x.v.Color schemes, which display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes, results in a lifelike, vibrant picture.

Using a single cable, you can easily connect any HDMI-equipped source to the receiver. Even if your source is a 3D-capable TV or Blu-ray player, the SR6006 has you covered with HDMI 1.4a compatibility designed specifically for 3D support.

There's also a built-in video analog-to-digital converter for watching composite and component video sources on your TV through HDMI. Additionally, the SR6006's on-board video processor/scaler upscales digital and analog video signals to 1080p resolution for the best possible image. That means you'll be able to enjoy yesterday's, today's, and tomorrow's media with ease.

Features On-Screen Wizard for easy setup. View larger.On-Screen Wizard Simplifies Setup
The receiver features auto setup and room calibration and allows you to navigate setup on your TV screen via HDMI. Plug in the included calibration microphone, place it in your favorite seat, and run the setup wizard. The Audyssey MultEQ-XT automatically analyzes your room's acoustic properties to determine the optimal settings. If you wish, you can manually fine-tune individual settings, such as bass, treble, speaker distance, and other properties.

Seven Audio Channels Produce a Theater-Like Experience
For an enveloping surround sound experience, the SR6006's amplifier delivers seven 110-watt channels of equal power and quality. The result is a balanced sound field capable of faithfully reproducing the most demanding movie, gaming, and multi-channel audio.

A 7.2 channel preamp output offers system upgrade possibilities. Use the Dolby Pro Logic IIz feature to add second subwoofer for enhanced low frequency impact.

Clear, Pure Audio in High Def
The SR6006's hi-definition audio support lets you take advantage of the latest surround sound formats. From Dolby TrueHD to DTS-HD Master audio, the SR6006's on-board decoding reproduces clear, uncompressed 7.1 audio via HDMI.

There's also a 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter for all channels and an isolated audio circuit board for improved sound and minimal interference. Source Direct mode switches off all unused circuitry for the purest audio possible.

M-XPort for Bluetooth Devices
Enjoy audio playback from a variety of sources, including laptops and cell phones, using the M-XPort input. By connecting an RX101 Bluetooth receiver module (sold separately) to the SR6006, you can wirelessly stream audio signals from Bluetooth devices that feature A2DP compatibility.

Front-Panel USB Connection for MP3 Devices
A front-panel USB connection allows direct playback of iPod, iPhone, and other USB Drives. M-DAX onboard audio expansion circuitry restores your compressed audio files to supply missing high-frequency information, resulting in near-CD sound quality. Additionally, a phono input with current-feedback technology provides a convenient means for playing records.
